“Don’t want to offend anyone but this is also a part of Christian County history. It was the 1920’s and the Klu Klux Klan was active in Christian County and Taylorville. A journalist went underground and was amazed to find prominent Taylorville residents active in the klan. It is said they held meetings in a vacant lot at the corner of Clay and Franklin streets in Taylorville!!”
